[The area around Snake is dark, but the pokègear emits enough light that some trees can be seen behind him.
He stares into the screen while his Ekans wraps himself around Snake's shoulders. Finally he speaks in a voice that seems sweet, but has a hint of poison to it:]
We seem to be lost in Ilex Forest. Last time we passed through here with no trouble, but I tried to find a short-cut through the trees, says John. [As he adds on "says John" he uses a different voice. His own for any who could pick up the slight difference in ease that he has between the voices.]
[Snake pursed his lips and sighs at the camera before ending his message. He really didn't want to admit that he got lost, but lost he was. Attempting to stand on his onix's head and look above the trees just got him smashed into a lot of branches and riled up a bunch of bird pokèmon.]
