[silentscales]

[Snake is sitting with his shiny Feebas on his lap and a servine sitting next to him, looking pleased as punch. Snake starts out with a rather proud and refined voice as he translates for the servine, Thomas.]

I evolved last night! I wanted to wait until people were awake to announce my progress! I'm going to be the strongest pokèmon in the world! says Thomas.

[Snake says it with a straight back and raised chin, mimicking all but Thomas's folded leafy hands. They relax and look to the feebas at the same time.]

Does anyone out there know much about beauty? Letitia wants to learn how to be more beautiful. She says she doesn't like when people call her ugly, so we thought we should help somehow, says Thomas.

[And the purple fish isn't exactly a pretty sight. It seriously seems like more makeup might just make the fish look worse. Even Snake is dubious, but more of because it seems odd to put makeup on a pokèmon.]

Talking like what? says Thomas.

[chickshades]

I'm not reading a book! says Thomas. [Thomas turns his nose up. Snake looks a little exasperated.]

[chickshades]

[ Thomas' reaction correlating to what Snake just said gets it to click for him. ]

Are you...translating?

[silentscales]

Of course! Isn't it obvious? says Thomas.

[A Dragonair slips her way into screen, and Snake puts on a warmer, more feminine voice that seems to have a playful edge to it.] Don't mind Thomas! He's just not really used to dealing with many other people yet, says Zola.

[chickshades]

You can actually understand your Pokemon, then? What the hell, I can't do that!

[silentscales]

I could always speak to snakes, says Ruskin. [That might explain a bit about how he's covered in scales. Or do the scales explain the talking to snakes? Who knows!]

[chickshades]

So you got to keep your powers from home?! How the hell is that fair?!

[silentscales]

[Have a shrug.] There are others that can speak with their pokèmon, says Gaskell.

[chickshades]

You don't have to keep showing off by saying 'says...whatever' afterwards.

[death_glare]

Your Servine is rather ambitious.

[silentscales]

[Snake nods solemnly,]

And why shouldn't I be? says Thomas.

[death_glare]

No reason. So long as he is willing to put in the effort to achieve these goals.

[silentscales]

[A dragoniar swims through the air to hover next to Thomas with an affectionate cheek-nuzzle,] Of course he is! says Zola.

[death_glare]

That is good to hear.

You've acquired quite the collection there. Though I suppose that is not much different from home.

[silentscales]

[The voice he uses for Thomas is less shrilly defiantly proud as he admits,] It's really sad that we can only have six friends together at a time, says Thomas.

[death_glare]

Is that so? I only have five Pokemon, at the moment so I was unaware.

[silentscales]

We found out when we received Letitia's egg for Christmas, says Gaskell.

[death_glare]
